Paige – Assateague National Seashore

I love photographing in this area of the Eastern Shore.  It is an area with lots of variety and its own unique features and feeling.  Paige and her family have ties in the Ocean City area but they live up in Michigan.  They make a point of vacationing, when they can, down here at the beach.  We met up at Assateague on the second day of their vacation to capture her senior portraits.  It was a wonderful evening at Assateague and I love what we captured.  Enjoy the blog post and some of Paige’s favorite images from her session.

Regan’s Senior Portrait {sneak peeks} – Salisbury, MD senior portrait photographer

Meet Regan!  She is one of our senior models for the Class of 2016.  She goes to Bennett High School here in Salisbury.  I had the pleasure of photographing her the other night around Salisbury and then out at Roaring Point Park.  The files were ferocious the night we did her portraits, but we managed to get some great portraits while we were out there.  These are just a few sneak peeks from our session together.  Enjoy!

If you are a junior and beginning to look around at who will create your senior portraits make sure you talk to Regan, she will tell you all about her experience with our studio and the amazing images we provide for our clients.  We are currently booking sessions for the summer and early fall.  Don’t wait as our session openings fill up quickly.  Contact me at the studio for more information and to book your session.

Zoë – Senior Model Rep. Class of 2014 – Berlin, MD Senior Portraits

Zoë has been one of my amazing Model Reps. for my studio this year from the Class of 2014 at PHS.  We have had the chance to photograph her a lot during her senior year and a few days ago we made the last installment of her portrait images.  We met up in downtown Berlin, MD(voted best small town in America), to capture a few stylized portraits.  She brought some awesome outfits that she had found while on a shopping trip to NY City and the Atlantic Hotel was the perfect backdrop to finish up her portraits.  She fit right in to the 20’s era and Mom was a tremendous help.  Enjoy just a few of the sneak peeks from her 20’s themed session last week.

We are currently beginning to book senior portrait sessions for the Class of 2015 already.  I only do a limited number of sessions, so if you want to have amazing portraits, and a great experience while having them taken, contact me to set up your session.

Valentine’s Day – Senior Session – Model Reps. Class of 2015

Sadie and Hannah came over to the studio the other day for their test shoots as part of being my senior model reps for the Class of 2015.  We did a mini Valentines Day session during their visit to the studio.  As you can see we had fun and there was lots of red.

Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.  Everyone remember that you are loved and that you are incredibly special.

Sadie and Hannah – thank you for doing this shoot with me and for representing my studio this year.  I am so excited to work with you and being able do some more fun sessions like this.

Caleb’s {sneak peeks} Smith Island, senior portrait photographer

There are some weeks that I absolutely love my job.  This past week  was certainly one of those weeks.  After a busy week of senior portraits and a wedding I traveled down to Crisfield to catch the Capt. Jason boat sailing to Smith Island for Caleb’s senior portraits.  I knew that it was going to be an all-day portrait session, but I wasn’t prepared for the hospitality that I was shown while taking his portraits.  I travled over on the boat with his Grandmother and felt like part of the family after the 45min  cruise.  When I arrived we did his yearbook portrait then took our time exploring the island and capturing a few casual shots.  We did some baseball portraits where at points I could feel the ball flying past me at who knows what speeds.  Fast enough to be in awe of Caleb and his talent.  We stopped to eat a wonderful dinner of crab cakes and then headed out in the skiff to catch a few shots at sunset.  We live in one of the most picturesque places in this country and I was counting it a blessing to be in the midst of such beauty.  We headed back to the house for coffee and chocolate/chocolate homemade Smith Island cake.  I was in heaven.  Buddy, Caleb’s dad brought me back to the mainland in his crabbing boat to end a fantastic day.

Caleb, Laura, Buddy, and Haley,

Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph Caleb’s portraits.  I hope that I met and exceeded your expectations.  You certainly blew mine away with your hospitality and your outpouring of friendship.  I wish Caleb success this year in school and in his search for a college and also his time on the mound.  It was a pleasure meeting you all, by the end of the day it really felt like I was part of the family.  Thank you for inviting me and for the ride home on the boat.  I had a great time with ya’ll.  Here are some sneak peeks for you to look at while I get his previews ready.  Enjoy!  Oh…and Haley it was nice seeing you as well.  Thanks for spending the day with us as we dragged you around for Caleb’s portraits.

Sincerely-James
