Studio Policies

1. What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX

2.  When do I pay for my session fee?

We require your session fee of $300 to be paid at the time you book your senior portraits.  You will also receive a $200 print credit that you can use when you come to your ordering appointment.

3.  When do I pay for my order?

We require 50% of your order total to be paid before we begin work on any part of your order.  Balances must be paid in full in order to use digital files for the yearbook or your order is picked up.  With custom orders the balance is required before work is begun and are non-refundable.

4.  What if I want to make a copy of my image(s)?

All images remain the property of James Seip Photography and are subject to Federal Copyright Laws.  Duplication of images in part or in whole whether scanning, screen captures, etc. are strictly prohibited.  This includes posting scanned images to social media websites.

5.  Can I use images for the yearbook?

We will provide the selected formal portrait to the yearbook advisor for inclusion in the yearbook as part of your session.  Purchased images(whether printed or digital format) may be used for senior ads, etc.

6.  Where do you photograph your sessions?

We photograph in our studio and at various locations around the Eastern Shore.  We typically will travel up to 35 miles for locations at the beach.  We are one of a very few photographers that has a photography permit allowing us to do sessions at Assateague.  We have photographed at many different places over the years and are open to hearing about new places and ideas you have for your portraits.  We also love to travel outside of the Eastern Shore area to photograph our seniors.

7.  How long does a session last?

Our typical senior session can last between 2-4 hours and depends on the number of outfits, locations, and weather.  We only schedule ONE senior session per day so we can be flexible with time and locations.

8.  What about my hair and makeup?

We recommend having your hair and makeup done professionally before your session.  We also recommend having matte finish makeup applied before your session.  This type of makeup will get you camera ready.  If you are doing your own makeup, please do not use bare minerals as this will create bright spots on your skin and is difficult to retouch.  Matte finish is best for your portraits.

9.  What outfits do you recommend for my portrait session?

Styles change every year, but we can make a few recommendations as to what you should wear for your portraits.  Outfits are also dependent on your personality, what you typically wear, and achieving a timeless quality to your portraits.  You can head on over to our senior guide for examples of what our Senior Team has been wearing for their sessions.  We also ask our clients to send us images of the outfits that they have picked out to wear for their session.  From those images we can make recommendations about your outfits.
